Terms & Conditions
Welcome, and thank you for ordering from our farm! Our goal is to provide the highest quality, locally raised meat while ensuring clear expectations and fair policies for both our customers and our family-run operation. These Terms & Conditions apply to all bulk meat share purchases and local delivery orders placed through Utah Natural Meat. By placing your order or deposit, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Bulk Shares: On-Farm Pick Up
1. Deposits & Cancellation Policy
A deposit is required to reserve any bulk meat share. Your deposit secures your portion of the animal and initiates harvest and processing preparations.
We understand that plans can change, and we offer the following tiered refund policy:
Refund Timeline:
Within 24 hours of placing your deposit: You may cancel for a full refund minus payment processing fees (typically 3–4%).
After 24 hours, but before your invoice is issued: You may cancel and receive a 50% refund of your deposit.
Once your invoice has been issued: Your deposit becomes fully non-refundable. This is because your share has been assigned to an animal and processing has begun. Invoices are typically sent about one week prior to pickup.
⚠️ Deposits cannot be transferred to other products, used as store credit, or rolled over to future orders.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or text is fine).
2. Balance Payment
About one week before pick up, you’ll receive a final invoice with the balance due. This must be paid in full at the time of pickup.
We accept payment by cash, card, or through the online link provided in your invoice.
3. Pickup & Storage Policy
When you place your order, we provide you with two specific pickup dates (typically a Thursday and Saturday). These are:
Shown at checkout
Included in your order confirmation
Sent again with your invoice and pickup instructions
You are responsible for picking up your order on one of your assigned pickup dates.
** Storage Fees: If your meat is not picked up on either scheduled pickup date, orders will incur a $10 storage fee per open business day
**Abandonment Policy: If your order is not picked up within 14 days of your original pickup window:
It will be considered abandoned
Your deposit and any balance paid will be forfeited
The meat may be resold or donated at our discretion
Due to limited freezer space we cannot hold orders beyond this window.
4. Payment Processing Fees
If a refund is granted (under the terms listed above), any non-refundable payment processing fees charged by our processor (typically 3-4%) will be deducted from the total refund amount.
5. Agreement Confirmation
By placing your deposit, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, including:
Our tiered deposit refund policy
Our storage fee schedule
Our 14-day abandonment policy
These terms exist to protect our small farm business and ensure fairness for all customers.
6. Email Communication & Responsibility
Order confirmations, invoices, and pickup instructions are all sent via email. It is the customer’s responsibility to:
Provide a valid, accurate email address
Check their spam or junk folder if they have not received an expected message
If you do not receive your order confirmation within a few days of placing your deposit, or an invoice a week before your pick up dates, please contact us directly by emailing us here. We cannot be held responsible for missed emails due to typos or spam filtering.
Bulk Shares: Local Delivery Terms
Minimum Order Requirement: Delivery is available for orders with a minimum product subtotal of $500 (before delivery fee). Deposits and delivery fees do not count toward this minimum.
Delivery Schedule & Cutoff: Delivery is offered on a rotating schedule by region. Orders close Friday at 12pm prior to the scheduled delivery date. Orders placed after the cutoff will be scheduled for the next available delivery date.
Cancellations: Orders canceled prior to the Friday 12pm cutoff will be refunded minus non-refundable credit card processing fees (typically 3%). Orders are final after the cutoff and are non-refundable. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or text is fine).
Delivery Window: Deliveries occur between 9am-1pm on your scheduled delivery date.
Presence at Delivery: While it is best for someone to be home at the time of delivery, it is not required. All product is delivered frozen. Customers may leave a cooler at the delivery location if preferred.
Proof of Delivery & Responsibility: If no one is home at the time of delivery, product will be left at the delivery address provided at checkout. A photo of the delivered order will be taken and sent via text message as confirmation of delivery. Utah Natural Meat is not responsible for product once it has been delivered to the address provided and photo confirmation has been sent.
Correct Address Requirement: Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and clear drop-off instructions. Additional delivery attempts may incur an additional fee.
