WE’RE THE BOWLERS AND WE ARE YOUR FARMERS

Farming and ranching began in our family five generations ago in Southern Utah, part of it on a small dairy farm. Grandpa Braswell spent his mornings and evenings with his cattle, milking them and bottle feeding calves. Shayn’s parents then started their own homestead right here in West Jordan, Utah, where he grew up milking cows, raising animals, and hauling hay with his three brothers. He gained valuable experience as he worked alongside his parents and grandfather, developing an appreciation for nature and a work ethic he values to this day.

When Shayn & Kristen married we continued to raise our own meat, splitting it between families each year. In the fall of 2009 we had a couple of extra steers and asked friends if they would be interested in our beef. The response was overwhelming! This was at a time when people were beginning to learn more about what exactly was in their food and how those animals were raised. They wanted a change and wanted meat they could trust. We saw an opportunity and began raising more animals and selling our meat to local customers, setting up our original store in our garage.

As word spread we realized we needed a bigger space and built a farm store to accommodate our growing business. This was followed by the addition of a poultry butcher shop, greenhouses, a raw milk cow dairy, our red meat butcher shop, and a goat milk dairy. Today we sell a number of products and serve many customers, but our core values have not changed. Our animals are raised the way we’ve always done, just as the generations before us - with a lot of space, a lot of greens, and a lot of care.

We love having the opportunity to raise our family the same way our great-grandparents did. Our crew includes Shayn and Kristen and our four little farmhands. We all enjoy being outdoors and around the animals, but our kids especially enjoy feeding the calves and helping Dad drive our big draft horses, King & Paul.

We truly are a small family farm and your support helps us preserve and pass this way of life onto our children and benefit our community for generations to come.
