Our UNM Story

June 2020 marks TEN YEARS since we began selling our meat! June 2010 was when we spread the word, launched a website, and waited to see what would happen. So it was UNM’s birthday - kind of. Shayn’s family had been farming and ranching all of his life, and it was part of our young family at the time, but the decision to take the leap and sell direct to consumer was new territory. We never thought it would grow to what it is now - we love the community that has been created around the farm and good food.

Some of you are new to the farm. Some of you have been here since the beginning (anyone remember when we had our little store in our garage?). We thought it would be fun to share our story - where we came from, how we ended up here, and all of the highs and lows in between.
